We treat the root causes of your insomnia
Step 1
Initial Sleep Consultation
During your initial consultation, we'll match you to an expert
sleep clinician who specializes in diagnosing and treating
insomnia. The intake meeting generally lasts about 50 minutes
and is conducted via telehealth.
At your first meeting, your sleep clinician will conduct a
thorough diagnostic evaluation of your sleep to understand the
factors contributing to your insomnia, and then will create a
personalized insomnia treatment plan based on your goals and
sleep issues.
Step 2
Sleep Treatment
You’ll meet with your sleep clinician in weekly sessions that
are covered by insurance. Each week, you and your clinician
will review your sleep from the prior week and develop
targeted insomnia treatment techniques for the following week.
Often, our patients start seeing meaningful improvements in
their sleep within 2-6 weeks.
Your clinician will work with you to understand the root
causes of your insomnia based on the latest research in
behavioral sleep medicine. These techniques go beyond
superficial advice like cutting coffee, trying melatonin, or
reducing screentime at night.
Step 3
Maintaining Good Sleep
Our clinicians are dedicated to helping you maintain good sleep by addressing the root causes of your insomnia. By solving these issues at their core, we aim to prevent your insomnia from returning. We will work closely with you to ensure you continue to enjoy restful sleep, and we are happy to assist you for as long as needed.
What causes insomnia?
What is insomnia?
Insomnia is a common sleep disorder that's characterized by difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or experiencing restorative sleep. In general, it manifests in two forms: acute, which is often triggered by temporary stressors, and chronic, which may be associated with ongoing health or lifestyle issues.
Yet, the truth is that the impact of insomnia extends beyond sleep duration, affecting the quality and restfulness of sleep as well. For this reason, individuals with insomnia commonly experience prolonged wakefulness at night, frequent awakenings, and a racing mind. This disorder can significantly affect daily functioning and well-being. However, with appropriate clinical interventions and lifestyle modifications, insomnia can be effectively managed and treated.
